Social Sports Program Coordinator

    This crucial team member will set the tone for player experience and therefore must exude confidence, responsibility, and cheerfulness. This person is our primary brand ambassador to our players and must be comfortable speaking in front of groups, rallying players to social events, and facilitating fun and good cheer on a nightly basis. This person is a skilled conflict manager and can diffuse arguments quickly, equitably, and cheerfully.

    This team member will be our primary trainer for all new referees and game coordinators, so strong working knowledge of all major sports is required. Prior officiating, coaching, or playing experience is preferred, but we can also teach smart, committed individuals.

    Lonestar SSC sports take place Sundays through Fridays in the evenings with occasional tournaments and social events on Saturdays. Candidates must be flexible enough to carry multiple shifts in each week. Shifts may change weekly, but will generally follow a standard minimum schedule. The position is full-time and primarily scheduled in a way that supports our regular programming.

    Lonestar SSC believes the fun and sportsmanship of games should be for everyone, and thus we provide activities for every type of person, every week of the year. Our leagues are about having fun as much as winning games. We are the premier company in Dallas and Fort Worth for over 21 co-ed sports and events.

    Responsibilities:

    • Recruit, manage, and train referees, coordinators, and all other programming personnel
    • Coordinate and referee games as needed
    • Prepare and Maintain Sports Fields
    • Successfully manage all nightly program events
    • Maintain excellent customer service and actively work to retain players and generate referrals
    • Support league growth by recruiting teams and maintaining great working relationships with our partners
    • Provide nightly detailed reports to the General Manager
    • Take and upload high quality photos and videos
    • Receive, distribute, and maintain all sports equipment

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • High-level organization, work ethic, and attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Extensive Familiarity with your city and its surrounding areas
    • Working knowledge of all major sports
    • Proficiency in MS Office

    Requirements:

    • 1 years training and supervising
    • 1 years hospitality, customer service, and/or sports administration
    • Previous Sports Officiating, Coaching, or Playing Experience
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time and regularly lift 40 lbs
    • Reliable Transportation, valid driver’s license, and Clean Driving Record
    • Reliable Smartphone, Computer, and Printer Access
    • Reliable mobile data plans and high-speed internet access
    • 21 or older
    • College Degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience
    • Availability to regularly work evenings, weekends, and holidays

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
