Additionally, Program Manager (Non-Profit) implements a fundraising and development strategy to identify potential donors or funding sources and conduct outreach initiatives. Collaborates with partners to ensure that special events publicize the organization and its programs to the community and support its goals. May assist in the development of grant applications or proposals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Program Manager (Non-Profit) manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Program Manager (Non-Profit) typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies, GAAP and non-profit regulations.

    Job Details

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring excellence in the delivery of all financial services and reporting.
    • Ensure the timely and accurate production of financial reports in accordance with GAAP and non-profit regulations.
    • Manage the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
    • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
    • Support month-end and year-end close process.
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
    • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
    • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
    • Collaborate with the management team to support overall department goals and objectives.
    • Engage in continuous education and staff development.

    Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
    • At least 3 years of experience as an Accounting Manager in a manufacturing or similar industry.
    • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
    • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations, particularly GAAP and non-profit regulations.
    • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
    • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Superior attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
