The McDonald Center for Student Well-Being is the health promotion department within the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Notre Dame charged with tending to the well-being ecosystem for the student population. The McDonald Center is seeking a program and office manager who is passionate about the well-being of students and is committed to contributing to a positive teamwork culture. Health promotion at the University of Notre Dame is student-facing, data-driven, and evidence-based, which requires accurate data collection and management, adapting to best-practice, and the development of systems to facilitate impactful work. The person in this position has the important role of developing systems for office effectiveness, managing program data, developing reports, supervising student employees, managing program funds, implementing communication plans, and co-developing well-being strategies with other team members. Professional development is a priority for all staff members and this position offers the opportunity to learn new skills and grow professionally.
The successful candidate will be positive, inclusive, collaborative, highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must be committed to personal and professional growth and trying new things. The ideal candidate will have experience in communications (website management, graphic design, and social media), data management, supervision experience (for student employees), and knowledge and enthusiasm for health and well-being topics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
- Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Healthcare, or Project/Program Management; or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate high standards of integrity, and motivation to incorporate best practices into department culture.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, belonging, and social justice.
- Demonstrate compassionate teamwork attitude and skills.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrate commitment to well-being.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and evaluate priorities.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, Google applications, bookkeeping software, graphic design software, advanced use of spreadsheets, and Tableau a plus.
