Program Management Office Director directs and oversees the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. Develops and implements PMO processes and policies, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. Being a Program Management Office Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Program Management Office Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. You are an innovator, and you build for scale. You will own the investment strategy and execution for all business group capital programs within SPS. These consist of a range of projects from less complex capital procurement, install and commissioning, to facility/capacity expansion programs, to more complex manufacturing process automation programs. You will build rigor and structure for technical risk management, and work with your team to de-risk within your Management Operating System (MOS). You are expected to challenge each investment against alternative actions, and justify why now? You will manage the capital budgets within each of the 5 Business Units (GBE) and the Business Group (SBG) as a whole. Tactically, you will apply your leadership and direct engagement on program structures to ensure success. Develop the MOS, instrumentation, and scorecards to inspect and take corrective actions where needed. You and your team will perform analytics and problem solving on execution performance and strategy alignment. You are expected to prepare and engage with senior leadership teams on overall performance and strategy. As a functional leader, you are expected to grow and develop a team of Program Managers, Technical Program Managers, and contract PMs to flex as needed.
