The Part-Time Facilities Manager for a local Non-Profit Organization is a vital role that supports the organization's ability to serve the community effectively. The ideal candidate will be a skilled, flexible, and dedicated individual who can manage the diverse needs of the facilities on a part-time basis and contribute to the organization's overall mission. The position is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and security of the facilities ensuring that the facilities are well-maintained, safe, and ready for the organization's operations & activities.
Schedule:
- Flexible hours, to be coordinated with the Executive Director
- May include availability for weekend activities and events
- Ability to work both day and evening shifts as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and check the main office as needed for daily operation
- Supervise and perform maintenance tasks as required
- Perform custodial duties to ensure facilities are clean and well-maintained
- Maintain supplies and orders, including cleaning supplies and paper products
- Prepare and deliver maintenance reports
- Answer phones and assist staff in daily operations when required
- Be on-call for facility emergencies during agreed-upon hours
- Check and maintain program facilities
- Make deliveries/pickups as needed
- Assist with the setup and cleanup for events
- Setup marketing displays for events
- Ensure compliance with security procedures
- Work with repair crews, firemen, and police when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Skilled in maintenance tasks and custodial duties (a minimum of 2 years preferred)
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with staff and community members
- Familiarity with Google workspace and Microsoft Office
- Ability to take instructions and work collaboratively with other staff members
- Decision-making skills based on outlined duties and organizational policies
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and punctually
- Physical ability to lift tables and chairs and set up rooms for events
- Knowledge of building systems and maintenance requirements Experience:
