Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Position Summary
    The Department of Sociology at Indiana University Kokomo invites interested and qualified applications to the adjunct instructor pool who can teach online, face-to-face, or both. Candidates should have experience using Canvas or another LMS. Possible courses include:
    • Introduction to Sociology
    • Introduction to Social Problems
    • Introduction to Social Services


    One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of about 60,000.     Basic Qualifications
    Master’s Degree or higher with 18 or more graduate hours in sociology or a closely related field from an accredited academic institution. Undergraduate teaching experience is preferred.
