Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. Position Description
This position will be located at the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT.
The Institute of Living, one of the first mental health centers in the U.S., remains one of America's leading not-for-profit centers for patient care, research and education in the fields of behavioral, psychiatric and addiction disorder. Through our dedicated, experienced and skilled clinicians, we provide patients and their families with the highest quality of personalized care. Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services.
The Rehabilitation Aide provides safe and appropriate basic patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist. As a member of the rehabilitation team, the Rehab Aide supports a safe and positive patient experience by assisting in the delivery of care and performing delegated multi-skilled basic patient care services.
The Rehab Aide provides support and assistance to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as (but not limited to): mobility, ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), movement and ambulation, and positioning. In addition, the Rehab Aide may provide support to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as therapeutic exercise programs, group exercise programs, mobility volunteer aide program, and swallowing studies.
