Professor - Psychology jobs in Indiana

Saint Joseph's College is looking for an Instructor to lead a class of students who are enrolled in a Psychology course. An ideal candidate will build a solid foundation of knowledge to advance student understanding of the field and serve as a catalyst of self-development by functioning as a role model in the classroom.

Course Description

A 2-part course exploring the methods, theories, and principal findings of psychological investigation.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and deliver lectures to students
• Evaluates interpersonal skills, technical skills and knowledge base of students in the classroom to measure student performance
• Facilitates student’s engagement, participation and discussion
• Responsible for all classroom supplies and materials instituting necessary action for any losses and documents any replacement/upgrade needs
• Grading all student work and submitting final grades and attendance rosters to Program Director
• Remains current on all state regulations and training standards
• Teach classes at the scheduled time and place to meet required contract hours
• Responsibilities maybe adjusted at the discretion of the Program Director

Class Schedule

• In-person
• Hybrid/online possible

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicants must hold a Master’s degree
• Transcripts must reflect 18 graduate credits in the field
• Reliably commute to campus during scheduled class times, if teaching an in-person course
