Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     This adjunct position will remain open for 1 year to allow departments' access to candidate pools when there is a need to hire an adjunct to teach a course(s) during defined academic semester(s).

    Job Description
    St. Cloud State University is seeking applications for potential adjunct instructors who qualify to teach in the College of Liberal Arts - Department of Philosophy.
    Required Qualifications
    • ABD or doctoral work in a graduate philosophy program with an earned Master's degree considered
    • Evidence of teaching excellence is encouraged, such as sample syllabi, student evaluations, and/or letters of recommendation
    • Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
