Being a Professor - Music provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Music typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Qualifications:
    • Wyoming teacher certification with an Endorsement required. (Applicants must be able to obtain a teaching certificate issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board (http://wyomingptsb.com/) You must attach a copy of your certificate or indicated date anticipated , an up-to-date/current resume, 3 signed letters of recommendation, letter of introduction, and college transcripts to be considered for this position.
    Job Summary: The Teacher will provide support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
