Professor - Medical Ethics teaches courses in the discipline area of medical ethics. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Medical Ethics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Medical Ethics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     The Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology has a fast-growing faculty with professional practices at multiple locations throughout metro Atlanta. We are seeking a board-certified Medical Oncologist or Neuro-Oncologist with a specialty in Neuro/Brain Medical Oncology.

     

    Applicants must be Board eligible/certified and eligible for licensure in Georgia. Competitive candidates will have a strong clinical background in medical oncology or neuro-oncology with a strong commitment to research (Physician Scientist). Clinical responsibilities include outpatient consultation and treatment, long-term management, inpatient consultation, rotating inpatient attending service and call coverage responsibility, and multi-disciplinary collaboration with other Emory Winship Cancer specialists.
