Professor - Liberal Arts teaches courses in the discipline area of liberal arts. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Liberal Arts provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Liberal Arts typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     This is a perpetual vacancy announcement that is filled based on need only. All applications are kept on file for when a need arises. Only when a need arises will applicants be contacted.

    The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is seeking qualified candidates to teach as part-time resource faculty. Availability will depend on the needs of the university each semester: therefore, you may not be contacted immediately. Credentials will remain on file for 1 year from the date the application is submitted. At that time, current applicants will be asked to re-apply.

    Adjunct faculty positions are part time temporary assignments that are based on the needs of the university.

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements for most subject areas include a master's degree in the discipline and/or a master's degree with 18 hours in related discipline. College level teaching experience and/or terminal degree desired. Salary based on degree and experience, paid on credit hour basis.

    Working Conditions

    * Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
