Professor - Industrial Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of industrial engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Industrial Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Industrial Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Assistant or Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering - Operations Research

  • Milwaukee School of Engineering invites applications for a faculty position in Industrial Engineering at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for Fall 2024. The full-time faculty position is open to applicants in Industrial Engineering with expertise in Operations Research. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in process modeling, optimization, and simulation.

    The position requires an earned doctorate in Industrial Engineering (or a related field), relevant experience, and a strong interest in effective undergraduate teaching while integrating theory with applications. Candidates are expected to have an undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program. In addition to teaching duties, successful candidates will be expected to become involved with academic advising, curriculum development, supervision of student projects, and continued professional growth through a combination of consulting, scholarship, and research. Excellent collaborative and communication skills are required.
