Professor - History teaches courses in the discipline area of history. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - History provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - History typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Are you a passionate and dynamic educator ready to make a positive impact on the academic journey of college students? The Tri-County Technical College Arts and Science Division is seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative History Adjunct Instructors. The successful candidates will deliver systematically planned instruction, maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, assess achievement levels, and assign grades. Teaching commitments may encompass both day and evening classes across multiple Tri-County Technical College campuses within Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. The Fall 2024 Semester begins on August 10th. This role is part-time and does not include benefits.The History Adjunct Instructor role is a part-time employment role. Successful candidates will be required to teach face-to-face instruction at one of our four community campuses (Anderson, Easley, Pendleton, or Oconee) or teach online instruction.

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
    Master's degree in History or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in History.
