Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
A Ph.D. is desired for the position, though ABD candidates will be considered. The area of specialization is open; however, a demonstrated interest in creative writing, Composition/Rhetoric, gender studies, cultural/postcolonial studies, or video games/comics is preferred. Additional responsibilities will include continuing the collection of materials for curriculum assessment; advising students within the English major; and a commitment to aiding the department and the college in recruitment.
