The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. Electrical Engineering Technician
Performs instrumented tests using existing procedures to verify that system performance meets product specifications. Supports assigned product groups in product validation and verification process as associated with production requirements. Provides problem identification and resolution, corrective action and tracking and reliability analysis. Provides input on test procedures to engineers and support personnel as required.
Responsibilities
• Designs, schedules and performs field and/or lab tests to validate new product designs.
• Develops programs for data acquisition.
• Collects and installs instrumentation for test.
• Compiles test reports that document procedures and communicates results and guidance to design group.
• Gives work direction to test operators.
• Analyzes test data of moderate complexity, draws conclusions and summarizes reports.
• Assists in procedure and process documentation for various aspects of testing requirements.
• Assists in developing changes to product design for new programs or continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
• Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent)
• Product design experience.
• Product test and analysis experience.
• Product design, test and/or analysis experience.
• Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Skills and Abilities
• Familiarity with one or more of the following systems: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical.
• Skill in using company information systems and processes.
• Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge.
• Knowledge of industry Product Verification & Validation processes and execution methodologies.
• Fundamental understanding of machine forms relevant to the specific job assignment and Company division/unit.
• Knowledge/familiarity with machines manufactured by competitors.
• Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).
