    Position Summary:

    Franklin Pierce University School of Education seeks dynamic applicants for an Assistant Professor position to begin in Fall 2024. Primary responsibilities would include teaching courses in K-12 education methods, special education, and an area of content specialty. This position will also include teaching in the General and Liberal Education Curriculum as deemed appropriate according to program needs. This faculty member will perform advising responsibilities, mentor teacher candidates, and work with K-12 partners to prepare future educators and leaders. Additionally, the faculty member will demonstrate the ability to model culturally responsive pedagogical approaches across all courses and foster an inclusive classroom environment. Appointed faculty are expected to engage in institutional service and to maintain an active research agenda. 

    Qualifications:

    Our ideal candidate will not only possess a doctoral degree in education, teacher certification, and a proven track record of effective teaching in both school and college settings but will also bring a specialized emphasis in Special Education. Additional competencies in secondary education and/or literacy are highly desirable.
