Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our patients. This could be either a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits or on part-time basis.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing and payment processing
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical record systems such as Open Dental.
- Assist with dental assisting duties, assist the pediatric dentist during dental procedures, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for young patients, preparing treatment rooms, and sterilizing equipment using aseptic techniques
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient care
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Provide administrative support to the dental team as required
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or Open Dental is preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
