Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. CIVIL ENGINEERING GENERAL MANAGER and DESIGN MANAGER
Established and expanding consulting Civil Engineering firm, based in Central Connecticut since 1962, seeks a highly motivated individual with 10-15 years minimum experience to be Design Manager, or General Manager of our Meriden Office. Potential ownership opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated leadership experience and successful teamwork.
- Exemplary communication skills, including the verbal, written, and public presentation domains.
- Significant Design and Project Management experience
- Broad Technical Background in Civil Engineering; Transportation: Highway & Bridge; Hydraulics/Water Resources; or Water and Wastewater Engineering
- Business development and client management experience
- Municipal and/or CONNDOT design and construction administration experience
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
Responsibilities will include:
- Management of Design teams
- General Management of Meriden Office
- Provide Technical Expertise
- Business Development
- Client Management
B.S. or M.S. Civil Engineering and 15 years progressive experience in the design and management of civil engineering projects.
