Professor - Chemistry teaches courses in the discipline area of chemistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Chemistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Chemistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.   • The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Physics and Chemistry, starting the fall semester of the 2024-25 academic year.  The successful candidate must have a Doctoral Degree in organic or biochemistry or closely related field at the time of hiring (ABDs near completion will also be considered). They should be committed to teaching a variety of undergraduate chemistry courses, developing new courses, and collaborating with department faculty on curriculum.  Opportunities to establish research projects involving undergraduate students may be pursued. Effective communication skills are required.  Applications from senior and qualified candidates can be considered for a higher rank.
