Professor - Chemistry teaches courses in the discipline area of chemistry. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Chemistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Assistant Professor - English

  • Viterbo University's College of Engineering, Letters and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track, faculty member of English starting August 16th, 2024. The successful candidate can anticipate teaching 9 credits of composition and 3 credits of 19th-21st century British Literature each semester and may also assist with the student art and literary magazine and/or the student newspaper. Preferred candidates will demonstrate a creative and/or research agenda that engages with one or more of the following: creative writing (particularly poetry), critical race theory, gender and sexuality, disability studies, literary theory, or environmental or medical humanities.

    All members of the department maintain a scholarly or creative habit, teach first year writing, advise students, and serve on committees.

    This is a 4/4 teaching load position.

    General Requirements/Qualifications: Ph.D. in English. ABD candidates who will successfully defend prior to August 2024 are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to candidates with prior teaching experience. Must be authorized to work in the United States.     Rank and Salary: Appointment is at the rank of Assistant Professor with a nine-month academic year appointment beginning August of 2024. Salary is competitive with other private institutions of similar size, mission, and educational philosophy.
