Responsibilities and opportunities:
This position is open to all areas of specialization in the field Biological science. Individuals are particularly encouraged to apply whose training is integrative (e.g., plant pathology, infectious diseases, environmental microbiology and/or bioinformatics/genomics) and special consideration will be given to applicants with data science experience. The successful applicant will participate in duties related to the instruction of both lecture and laboratory for a variety of lower- and upper-level biology courses including but not limited to a first year introduction to research course as well as one or more of the following courses: Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Virology or Plant Pathology (see the NWU Course Catalog for department course details).
