Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Biology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Summary of Job Duties:Will be responsible for teaching 12 hours per week of lectures and lab. Courses to be taught include Intro to Biological Science, General Zoology and Lab, Herpetology and lab, Ichthyology and lab, and Marine or Aquatic Biology and lab. Ten hours per week of office hours is also required.Qualifications:
Department's Website:Ph.D in Biology or related discipline with an emphasis in Ichthyology. Ability to teach Zoology and lab is required. Ability to also teach Herpetology will get priority.
