The Trainer Utility Production is responsible for clarifying and enhancing the Supervisors ability to conduct their daily activities and to assist in the efficient production of the line in accordance to the schedule, manpower, Quality Assurance, USDA and safety requirements. This individual is also responsible for administering training to production and packaging associates, assuring that standardized work is in place and all associates are following standards.
Key Job Responsibilities:

Will be required to perform and trained others on all job responsibilities associated with the Lead position. Such as, but not limited to, the following: CT1, Mixer, Oven, Bagger/Delta, Carton/Tray Former, Case Sealer, and Sanitor.

Follows and trains all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety rules to eliminate accidents.

Must accurately fill out and train how to fill out all compliance forms such as QCP’s and metal detector/x-ray forms.

Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.

Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.

Selects or develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.

Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, health and safety practices, refresher training, promotional development, and leadership development.

Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.

Performs training audits to identify training gaps.

Promotes Good Manufacturing Process and Safety.

Promotes Continuous Improvement, looks for production improvements, better methods to facilitate work flow for all workers on the line without affecting quality or safety standards.

Works with teams to make recommendations on how to improve operations to optimize production while positively contributing to safety, quality, cost and lead time.

Assigns personnel in accordance to their capacity, ability and effort to perform their assigned jobs.

Exhibits, at all times, a professional manner to obtain maximum collaboration and better labor performance.

Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Meets Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.

Must observe, comply, and adhere to all company policies and procedures including Environmental Health & Safety (OHS) and food safety.

Responsible for keeping work areas clean and organized per company standards.

Relieve processing positions when needed.

Must maintain a good standing in attendance with 4 attendance points and below

Other duties as assigned.

Bilingual
Education and Work History:
-
High School Diploma or GED preferred or three years manufacturing experience

Basic computer experience is needed
-
Must be able to perform audits
-
Must work weekends as needed and accept working in a weekly changing schedule along with 12 hour scheduled shifts.
