Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

As a Production Team Leader at Lantech you will:

• Lead a team of 4-6 manufacturing associates.
• Learn all work within the assigned area at a level to teach the work.
• Fill in on the line for absences.
• Train new associates and support cross-training goals as stated on STAMP boards and Lantech Skill Progression.
• Be responsible for adherence to the production schedule.
• Assist in high cycle time jobs and work overtime as needed to meet those schedules.
• Respond to the Andon system and communicate line problems, part shortages, and work with appropriate support departments to resolve issues while keeping the factory leader informed of line status.
• Participate in Lean Workshops to learn Lantech's Lean philosophy.
• Ensure standard/standardized work is kept up to date and is used to train new associates.
• Utilize quality loop boards to conduct problem-solving activities within your span of control.
• Maintain/enhance workplace organization and perform daily 5S/Environment audits.
• Give feedback related to associate performance.
• Have a sustained record of excellent attendance.

We are looking for someone who:

• Possesses good interaction skills including coaching and team building
• Demonstrates leadership style in order to ensure processes are maintained/followed
• Is willing to address and coach team members on performance issues
• Is able to create a plan to improve the current conditions within the area of responsibility
• Is a self-starter who is detail oriented with a high commitment to quality
• Is able to work effectively within a team environment
• Has a good work ethic and is a role model for all associates in regard to attendance.

• Is able to read and follow instructions in English (standardized work).
• Is able to work effectively in a team environment
• Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
• Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Is able to lift up to 50lbs
• Is able to stand for 9-10 hours per day
• Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Is willing and able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
• Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience:

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical blueprint reading is preferred
• Working knowledge of WinMan and Microsoft Outlook is preferred.
• Candidates exemplifying good leadership skills is a highly desired
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical and/or vocational training is a plus. Must be willing to participate in soft skills training as well as any Lean training for team leaders.
• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
