Production Supervisor jobs in Maryland

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision and Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and motivate production staff to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality products.
• Investigate and address any quality issues promptly, working closely with the quality assurance team.

Resource Management:

• Manage production resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely availability of resources.

Health and Safety:

• Enforce and promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for production staff.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare regular reports on production metrics, including output, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, deviations, and corrective actions.

• At least ten years’ experience in the Printing Industry; press and/or bindery experience a must. Ability to run a saddlestitcher and perfect binder a plus.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Needs to be able to troubleshoot issues with press and bindery equipment.
• At least five years’ experience in a management role.
• Experience utilizing MIS systems. EFI Pace experience preferred, but not required.
• Familiarity with Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma a huge plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• UV experience preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Team-oriented management style with excellent people management and leadership skills.
• Good planning and problem-solving skills with proven track record in achieving results.
• Great work ethic, great attitude, and a commitment to being the best.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,377.02 – $61,873.40 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Relocate before starting work (Required)
