The Production Supervisor prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Supervises and coordinates the work of employees who work on assembly-lines. Being a Production Supervisor requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Ensures operations and employees follow proper policies and procedures. In addition, Production Supervisor typically reports to a manager. May require certain certifications in field. The Production Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely and efficiently load rolls on the machine per roll handling procedures.
• Keep glue application and all machine settings adjusted as needed.
• Assist with filling out safety, quality, and production sheets to be turned in every shift.
• Assist stacker with keeping pallets caught up.
• Keep a clean and safe work area.
• Completely clean work area at the end of each shift.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Safety training a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Ability to read and write English is required.
• Ability to read a ruler is required.
• Heavy repetitive lifting for up to 10 hour shift.
• Good coordination to hang large rolls on the machine using Big Joe walk behind movers.
• Forklift experience would be a plus for pulling pallets of paper rolls from the warehouse.
• Clear communication.
• Good teamwork .
• Be willing to work 5 to 6 days a week as needed.
