Our Technology Services Group (TSG) directs and supports the installation of various technology systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality for the installation of electrical, low voltage, lighting, audio, video, compute, and custom electronic systems.
JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Audio-Visual Installation Supervisor to join our award-winning museum fabrication team. The successful candidates will play a key role in providing on field, site leadership and direction, overseeing installation activities, and ensuring the successful completion of technology projects with respected leadership practices and customer service.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISORY SKILLS
- Manage and direct all on-site installation activities by collaborating with the project management, building contractors, and the in-office TSG team.
- Resolve any roadblocks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high quality.
- Lead and delegate tasks to multiple installation crews, subcontractors, and trades.
- Oversee all field operations, accountable to reporting progress, status, time records for all on-site labor, and issues to the SVP.
- Supervise the physical installation of a wide variety of technology systems in diverse field locations.
- Provide training and assistance to on-site technicians.
- Responsible for safety practices and maintenance of all equipment, installation material inventories, orderliness, and documentation.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Your experience as an Installation Technician provides a background of technical skills including:
- Able to build and wire custom panels from engineering drawings.
- Experience in fiber optic cable handling, installation termination and testing.
- Adept in reading and understanding functional design drawings as well as cable riser diagrams.
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrate a consistent level of technical performance and flexibility in the work schedule.
- Be willing to work periodic overtime, and occasional short-term night schedules, travel, or weekends, as required.
- Commitment to meeting opening dates for projects.
