Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Supervisor monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Primary Responsibilities
The Production Scheduler will be an integral member of a progressive team tasked with cultivating production control activities across multiple programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with Production, Planning, Change Management, Engineering and Program to ensure production schedules and supply and demand requirements are aligned. This position will balance multiple activities that include but are not limited to the following:
Multi-resource scheduling.
Coordinating activities among cross-functional teams to include including Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management.
Leading meetings and analysis to ensure production schedule and contractual obligations are met.
Supporting schedule changes resulting from ECO's, Make/Buy decisions, and revision changes.
Tracking Metrics and KPI's.
Basic Qualifications
Candidate must havea BA degree and 3 years of prior relevant experienceof working production control in manufacturing programs. In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience will be considered.
Demonstrable experience across various ERP systems to include MRP, MPS and MES, using Deltek, Costpoint, SAP, Epicor, or similar tool.
Must be able to work autonomously and stay focused in a high-stress, fast paced environment to meet customer and management deadlines.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
MS Degree.
Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint or Dynafact Manufacturing System.
Experience with Microsoft Project and Excel or Access preferred.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Integration and Assembly.
Ability to lead other and work in a collaborative work environment.
Experience working in multiple phases of the product life cycle to include prototyping, design and development, and full release to production.
