Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary (Seasonal, Part/Full-Time Position)

    Start Date: November 27th End Date: January 26th

    The Production Team is essential to a smooth operation of the film festival's theater venues, guest hospitality spaces, and main office. Production Team is responsible for setting and striking venues, delivering and maintaining supplies, and ensuring festival spaces are neat and safe at all time.

    The Production Manager is responsible for the allocation of labor resources, tracking budget & expenditures, maintaining open communication with other departments to fullfill any production request, and tracking production schedule to insure all is done in a timely manner.

    Elements of the position include:

    • Record, track, and move all staging materials to/from festival venues including printed materials, office supplies, beverages, sponsor products, equipment, and furniture
    • Plan and execute set-up of festival annex office spaces and Ticket & Information center; including coordinating move-in and prep, internet arrangements, IT set-up and breakdown, furniture rental, office supplies, and phone service
    • Responsible for ordering all production materials: computer rentals, radios, furniture, lighting, signage, tents, heaters, production vehicles, etc
    • Tracking and reporting budget expenditures to the Managing Director
    • Assist in coordinating and staging select special events including Opening Night, Closing Night, Talking Pictures Presentations and Awards Brunch, etc.
    • Manage daily production schedule: oversee two production assistants and interns, coordinate step & repeat set-up and breakdowns, stage sets, deliveries, daily maintenance tasks, etc.
    • Plan and execute guest relations business center needs at the host hotel and assist the IT team regarding email and server accessibility.
    • In conjunction with the Theater Operations Manager and Managing Director, determine theater and office signage needs and process
    • Coordinate distribution of computers, iPads, radios, and other rental equipment. Confirm condition and timely return of items.
    • Order production and theater operations supplies as needed
    • Be on-site for scheduled deliveries to ensure safe and correct product delivery
    • Update Filmmaker Pro database with production notes, stage sets, etc.
    • Work closely with theater operations to coordinate venue load-in including signage placement, tents, stanchions, red carpets, venue manager and volunteer tables and supplies, strikes, line control, and guest and staff parking.
    • Ensure venues and festival areas are well maintained; plan for safety, rain, trash maintenance, organization, traffic patterns, etc.
    • Plan and execute the development of FIlmmaker Lounge; furniture rental, food/beverage coordination, décor, move-in prep
    • Maintain production vans and track gas expenditures
    • Pick up and deliver meals as needed
    • Label equipment and furniture to ensure it is returned to pre-festival spaces
    • Maintain organized storage units and record general inventory
    • Other duties as assigned

    Abilities required

    • Professional appearance and demeanor
    • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently
    • Ability to direct and supervise a team of workers (paid and volunteer)
    • Ability to use a computer for record-keeping and tracking; experience with Filemaker Pro a plus
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds
    • Must be able to stand for prolonged period of time
    • Must have a reliable means of transportation
    • Must be able to remain calm under pressure with the ability to be polite and respectful at all times
    • Ability to work extended hours including weekends and possible holidays
    • Must be an experienced driver over 25 years of age and be comfortable driving a cargo/moving van
    • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends January 4-15
