Production Scheduler Manager jobs in Orange, CA

To help us continue to grow our business, we’re searching for a Production Manager to oversee our skylight manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean manufacturing principles, 5S methodology, and managing assembly line processes. Experience in skylight manufacturing, thermoforming, or welding is preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Team Management:

• Supervise and lead production teams, providing guidance and support as needed
• Able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
• Encourage a sense of pride and ownership in the work being done, creating a strong team spirit
• Ensure that the company's values and vision are reflected in daily operations and decision-making
• Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Willing to work on the production floor as needed to ensure smooth operations

2. Production Management:

• Create and manage a production schedule to meet customer shipment deadlines
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products
• Drive daily production activities to meet production targets and shipment deadlines
• Monitor production metrics and adjust operations to improve efficiency
• Manage and oversee the assembly line operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production

3. Quality Control:

• Develop and/or maintain quality management procedures and documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements
• Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement based on ISO 9001 principles
• Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control measures to identify and resolve issues.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and process improvement
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance overall production performance

4. Lean Manufacturing and Process Improvement:

• Implement Lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead the implementation of 5S methodology to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Train and mentor team members on Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices and principles.

5. Inventory Management:

• Help manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Proven experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.
• Experience managing assembly line operations and production processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience in skylight manufacturing, thermoforming, or welding is preferred but not required.
• Willing to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Avante (preferred).
• Experience with Kanban system for inventory control and production scheduling.

Pay: $55,531.95 - $66,877.19 per year
