Production Scheduler jobs in Ohio

• Accountable for all planning inputs: Sales order, forecasts, custom/special orders and strategic build plans.
• Maintains consolidated sales forecasts in the MRP system.
• Using the MRP system, translates the consolidated sales forecasts into a master production schedule / build schedule.
• Performs load leveling on the build plan to allow for resource restrictions.
• Evaluates and creates reschedule requirements
• Prepares and distributes weekly production schedules / work order dispatch lists.
• Monitors daily schedule status and communicates scheduling problems or concerns to Management.
• Participates in, or leads in the absence of the Master Planner, the daily production meetings
• Confers with the Master Planner to determine the status of schedules and materials to revise schedules, as necessary, to meet customer demands.
• Assist management to resolve problems with late shipments, material shortages, customer schedule changes, and cancellations of customer orders.
• Proposes, gains approval for, and leads implementation of improved planning methods, tools, and reports.
• Prepares production reports.
• Special projects as assigned.

• Adequate experience in manufacturing processes
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; strong critical self-review skills
• Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task
• Excellent organizational skills, a high sense of urgency
• Proven analytical experience with high aptitude for research, analysis and problem solving

Hardware/Software:

• SAP knowledge preferred (SAP PP and MM)
• Experience with Production Scheduling
• Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of MS office products
• Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools (Excel/Access)

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor degree preferred
