Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities and Duties:- Knowledge and ability to perform all types and styles of commercial painting
- Extensive familiarity of commercial painting practices, tools, applications and more
- Spraying, rolling, brush-applied and more painting applications
- Vinyl wall covering removal and installation
- Floor protection, wall containments, cabinet protection and more masking tasks
- Necessary daily and final cleaning
- Project documentation such as daily progress photos and written updates
- Experience with other construction tasks and trades (preferred)
- Experience with performing plan and/or site measurement takeoffs
Qualifications:- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a painter / commercial painter.
- Preference to those already in the restoration and/or construction industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively through all forms of communication.
- Astute attention to detail and and quality control
Applicants must be able to pass a background check and be legal to work in the United States.
