Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Summary:
The Painter s primary responsibility is to use a wet paint process to prime, paint and cure material as well as any needed re-touch work. This position will be required to use a respirator. The painting process will happen within a paint booth using a 2 part epoxy. Some ladder work will be required. This position will occasionally assist with the preparation of material. The painter will maintain a safe and clean work area by ensuring they clean their sprayer and area on a daily basis.
