Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Container Research Corporation, an AS9100 certified company with over 60 years in business, seeks a Production Painter. The painter will be responsible for painting aerospace and defense shipping containers, including all aspects – mixing paint while avoiding waste, cleaning and preparing parts for the painting process, disposing of paint waste properly, and so on. 3 years of experience are required to fall in our $20 - $25/hr pay tier, and 7 years of experience are required for the $25 - $30 pay tier. Training in crane and overhead work as well as SSPC and NACE certifications are pluses.
