Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. This position pays $18-23 an hour depending on experience. The painter prepares surfaces and properly applies finish coatings of paint, clear finishes. Occasionally performs light carpentry work including installation of trim. Works the on-call rotation with maintenance team, helps with minor maintenance repairs as needed. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors or managers of Facility Services.
Prepping, patching and painting of walls and trim. Knowledge and ability to perform light carpentry work, including general skills such as installation of trim.
High School Diploma.
Must have great customer satisfaction skills as well as good communication skills. Candidate must be dependable/flexible and able to meet deadlines established. Painting and occasional light carpentry/maintenance skills needed for this position.
Considerable physical effort required, walking, climbing, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Candidate must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs without reasonable accommodations.
Must have at least 3 – 5 years of experience.
