Job Description: Electro/Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Pay Range: $33-35/hr * $3/hr Shift Premium
Schedule: - 1st or 2nd Shift. M-F
Job Description:
The Electro/Mechanical Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning of our machinery and equipment. This position is responsible for conducting maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maintain the efficiency of our food manufacturing processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and PLC-controlled systems.
2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, identify root causes of equipment failures, and implement effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
3. Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation, modification, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
4. Calibration: Calibrate and adjust instrumentation and control devices to maintain accurate and consistent process parameters.
5. Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair situations, ensuring a swift return to production.
6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that equipment meets safety standards and regulations.
7. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for equipment improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Training: Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electro/mechanical maintenance is preferred.
Previous experience in electro/mechanical maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or similar industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Availability for occasional overtime and on-call duty.
Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
