Quality Control Technician (Electronic Equipment)

Position Summary: We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control Technician to oversee the inspection and maintenance of our video equipment inventory. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the functionality and cosmetic condition of our equipment, thereby upholding our commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and maintenance of video/audio equipment upon arrival at the warehouse, including new and returned items.
- Primary inspection items include projectors, LED panels, monitors, signal switchers, projection screens, and cables.
- Organize and maintain the storage of tested equipment, ensuring accessibility and efficiency.
- Ensure all equipment meets high cosmetic standards and identify any items requiring further inspection or repair.
- Collaborate effectively within a team and across departments to fulfill client orders and uphold quality standards.
- Communicate effectively and proactively report any issues or concerns to supervisors.
- Initiate reporting for damaged or lost items, adhering to company protocols.
- Follow technical manuals and conduct tests to verify proper equipment functionality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Ability to manage workflow to meet deadlines.
- Fundamental understanding of audio/video production equipment and its functionalities.
- Previous experience (minimum 1 year) working with electronic equipment is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to problem-solve efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime during peak seasons.
Working Conditions:
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision, delivering exceptional service to both internal and external clients.
- Standard work shift ranges from 8 to 10 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and engage in physical activities such as bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, and reaching.
- Video production equipment may be heavy and bulky.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
