Security Field Supervisor – Guard Management Security Company (GMSC)    

GMSC is a security guard management company that provides security services to primarily commercial office buildings in Manhattan. GMSC’s is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vornado Realty Trust, which owns 25 million square feet of property, with 20 million square feet in Manhattan. The GMSC corporate office and reporting location is 11 Penn Plaza (32^nd Street and 7^thAve, across the street from Penn Station). 

Position Description: 

The Security Field Supervisor will primarily supervise security officers assigned to the Penn District. The Penn District encompasses seven commercial office buildings and outdoor plazas, 5 development sites, and numerous retail businesses in and around Penn Station. The supervisor’s primary focus is on public safety and quality of life conditions that impact the Penn District and the supervision of security officers in the district. Supervisors will need to work collaboratively with property managers, police agencies (NYPD, MTA Police, Amtrak Police, Port Authority Police, etc) and other private security entities (MSG, Brookfield, 34^th Street partnership etc) within the district. 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct roll call for and assign security officers.
• Supervise security officers in the field. 
• Respond to, supervise, investigate, and prepare reports on unusual or major security related incidents. 
• Evaluate officer performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of law enforcement experience 
• Law enforcement supervisory experience required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to mentor, motivate, and supervise personnel.
