Essential Responsibilities : Ensure compliance with all safety rules and use of proper PPEAdhere to Ferro's Core Values and BehaviorsSupervise and facilitate efficient use of manpower.
Monitor operations to ensure compliance with ISO-9001 and SPC utilization. Review production reports, verify production reporting.
Issue work orders, document accident reports, monitor plant, office buildings and surroundings for security. Provide and assist in training per ISO-9001 and ensure compliance with company policies as outlined in the Associate Guidelines Execute special projects as assigned.
Ensures processes are running according to standard best practices, reviews process yields, mixing color, rework and other reports to determine deviations from expected results.
Ensures positive effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development; regularly reviews performance and holds timely discussions.
Resolves employee issues through problem resolution. Partners with Human Resources on people related issues.Provide communication to plant leadership, warehouse, plant scheduling, shipping, QC, and research and development.
Required Qualifications : Four year technical degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experienceExcellent leadership and communication skillsWorking knowledge of powder manufacturing and knowledge of SPC / TQM would be helpful.
Must be capable of working in a factory environment, the ability to negotiate stairs, ladders, and confined space areas, must wear appropriate personal protective equipmentCandidates must be capable of prioritizing, multi-tasking, and decision-making.
