Production Engineering Supervisor jobs in Chapel Hill, NC

As a Production Supervisor (also known as Manufacturing Supervisor, Plant Supervisor), you'll provide leadership to ensure efficient plant operations, delivering quality products and superior service in a safe and challenging work environment. You'll be responsible for supporting plant objectives, coordinating with departments, creating a teamwork environment, verifying component staging for production runs, assigning work, and promoting a Lean environment and culture.

• 5 years of plant manufacturing experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing processes such as Visual Management, 5S, Standard Work, Kanban, One-Piece-Flow, OEE, SMED.
• Proven ability to guide a Production team and apply best practices in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Cost.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost controls, inventory management, HR practices, quality function, and manufacturing best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, organization, and oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hands-on environment and work well independently.
• Experience and Proficiency in Strategic Thinking & Management, Innovation, Collaboration, Driving Organizational Goals, People Management and Developing Talent.
• Recruiting and Training Experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• High School diploma or GED.
