Production Engineering Manager manages the planning and designing of methods to improve or enhance existing programs. Oversees the analysis and review of budgets, schedules, production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources. Being a Production Engineering Manager develops and recommends revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations, and production requirements. Ensures projects are completed on time. Additionally, Production Engineering Manager acts as advisor to production engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Production Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Essential Job Functions:
- Measure and weigh ingredients to certify accurate chemical amounts are packaged into each flare during multiple phases of production.
- Safely and accurately conduct operations in accordance with established policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal safety requirements.
- Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
- Handle equipment starting and stopping activities.
- Recognize and remove damaged or faulty items from the production line.
- Ensure tools and equipment is clean and maintained properly at the end of each shift.
- Store finished items safely.
- Adhere product labeling on finished items for packaging.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong math skills for weighing chemicals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail-orientated.
- Must be available to work the scheduled hours with the possibility of overtime.
Physical Demands:
- Regular lifting and moving of objects of 20-30 lbs.
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
