This individual will play a critical role in managing the successful execution of various land development projects including commercial, retail, quick service restaurant, and mixed-use developments. Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a portfolio of land development projects from initial feasibility through construction completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and engineering standards.
• Perform site analysis, assessing topography, environmental factors, and regulatory requirements to guide successful project design.
• Develop detailed site designs, grading plans, stormwater management systems, and infrastructure layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
• Employ hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools to optimize drainage solutions and manage environmental compliance.
• Prepare and manage permit applications (SWPPP, NPDES, etc.), securing timely approvals from regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate seamlessly with architects, utility companies, surveyors, and other professionals to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Create clear construction documents, specifications, and bid packages.
• Supervise project execution, conducting site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders through effective communication.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona is essential.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil project management with a strong focus on land development projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, SWMM, and related design software.
• In-depth knowledge of grading, drainage design, stormwater management practices, and erosion/sediment control.
• Comprehensive understanding of land development regulations and permitting processes.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills
• Experience with commercial, residential, and mixed-use land development projects.
• Additional certifications (CFM, LEED, etc.) are a plus.
