SUMMARY 

The Yacht/Powerboat Designer – Production Engineer shall be responsible for planning, designing, development of custom recreational powerboats product line from concept to final configuration, as well as developing Production processes to streamline semi-custom builds.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce drawings for Custom projects.
• Oversee and provide guidance for custom projects
• Work with Vendors as required
• Assist in the production and maintenance of build books.
• Assist in the production of owner’s manuals
• Assist with new model development and creation of updated drawings/engineering change requests
• Assist with NMMA requirements
• Cross function support as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Yacht design or industrial design and 5 years equivalent experience
• Ability to crate CAD Drawings with Rhino
• Good communication skills
• Ability to create detail cabinetry drawings
• Experience with Laminate design or drawings a plus
• Proficient with NMMA / ABYC guidelines 

EXPERIENCE and ATTRIBUTES:

• Must be highly motivated, well organized, an excellent problem solver and decision maker. Well-developed communication skills.
• PC proficiency with demonstrated knowledge of MS Office software.
• Willing to work more than 40 hours per week as necessary to the complete the job.

• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
