Summary:
The Production Manager will be responsible for scheduling production, management, quality, systems, processes, continuous improvement, labor allocation, and daily operations of production. The Production Manager will lead operations and production to meet performance goals and provide a strong foundation for continued growth. They must be an effective team leader and manager with excellent interpersonal relationship skills. This person must be a self-starter, a problem solver, and a growth minded individual.
Duties & Responsibilities:
‐ Set and maintain the production schedule
‐ Ensure quality practices and processes are followed
‐ Ensure projects are built and completed on time
‐ Communicate with customers and adjust the production schedule and project specifications as needed
‐ Ensure production KPIs are achieved
‐ Lead production problem solving and continuous improvement, solving challenges as they arise
‐ Provide Leadership, Management, and Accountability for production personnel
‐ Exemplify the 5 Management Practices and the 5 Leadership Practices
‐ Be the subject matter expert on WW&M’s production and manufacturing
Required Skills/Abilities:
‐ Minimum 3 years experience as a Project Manager, Production Manager, or similar management experience in operations and production of similar or larger manufacturing operations
‐ Minimum bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, or similar fields is desired but not required
‐ Excellent leadership, management, and relationship building skills
‐ Comprehensive knowledge of prints, welding standards, metals, manufacturing industry principals, and have technical aptitude
‐ Experience and expertise in typical and emerging software relevant to job shops and manufacturing
‐ Experience and knowledge regarding machines and equipment relevant to metal and steel fabrication and manufacturing
‐ Very well organized, thorough, and attentive to detail
‐ Able to resolve complex problems and assignments
‐ Always seeking personal and professional improvement and development
