Production Control Manager manages the day-to-day tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization. Oversees scheduling and the development of methods to allocate and control resources and materials effectively. Being a Production Control Manager establishes monitoring tools and processes to identify and plan for problems with waste, inefficiencies, and inventory in production operations. Recommends improvements to production technology and processes. Additionally, Production Control Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective planning methodologies and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Responsibilities
    (but not limited to):


    Oversee seat production planning and scheduling according to daily customer requirements.

    • Manage MES systems upload and monitor CLS coverage effectively.
    • Conduct demand review and forecasting while optimizing inventory levels.
    • Monitor customer systems and online communication, addressing shipping requirements on an hourly/daily basis; communicate with customers about potential schedule-impacting issues.
    • Implement constant tracking and action plans to identify and eliminate shortages.
    • Execute necessary changes to seat build schedule and load build plan in electronic systems based on customer requirements.
    • Maintain and analyze daily/weekly/monthly/yearly production and shipping results.
    • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance schedule of production activities daily.
    • Collaborate with operational departments to manage production, schedule work hours, and allocate resources efficiently.
    • Lead continual improvement of planning and reporting processes.
    • Conduct analysis of resources to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
    • Perform data entry for manual orders, seat build adjustments, and special build requests.
    • Monitor systems to ensure timely flow of part numbers, customer FSC codes, and product data information.
    • Participate in EO Meetings and lead obsolescence events.
    • Contribute to physical inventory and monthly production closing processes.
    • Provide direction, development, and leadership to the team.
    • Collaborate with Human Resources in hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, resolving employee concerns, and processing terminations.
    • Uphold 5S principles to ensure a clean and orderly work site, actively following Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain organization of work areas.
    • Collaborate with team members, team leaders, group leaders, and other Hyundai Transys members to actively contribute to the team.
    • Adhere to Quality policies and standards such as ISO 9001, TS16949, IATF16949.
    • Attend all required training sessions.
    • Comply with and promote company practices and policies in areas including Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication.
    • Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities for personal and company growth.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.


    Work Experience:

    • 3 years of relevant experience in Production Control, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
    • Experience in automotive seating manufacturing is a plus.


    Technical Skills:

    • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements and planning.
    • Familiarity with inventory management, lean best practices, and the integration of Production Control with other functions.
    • Proficiency with computerized materials control programs; SAP and MES experience preferred.
    • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a proactive emphasis.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Proficiency in using MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SAP experience is a plus.
    • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, multitask, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
    • Leadership abilities to ensure customer requirements are met.

    • Required to raise arms overhead to work, reach, and carry.
    • Required to use close vision, peripheral vision, focus, and see colors as required for reading equipment and material labels, color-coded inventory, computer terminal screens, etc.
    • May be required to wear safety Personal Protective Equipment for eyes, face, head, feet, hearing, hands, and arms.
    • Ability to work extended hours, overtime, and/or weekends as required.
    • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally if needed.


    The employee generally works in warehouse and indoor office environments but occasionally works outside, in all types of weather and on uneven terrain.
