Production Control Director manages the overall strategic and tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization. Oversees scheduling and the development of methods to allocate and control resources and materials effectively. Being a Production Control Director establishes monitoring tools and processes to identify and plan for problems with waste, inefficiencies, and inventory in production operations. Recommends improvements to production technology and processes. Additionally, Production Control Director collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective planning methodologies and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Control Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Production Control Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Inventory Control Specialist - Production

    Summary and Scope

    The Inventory Control Specialist will assist the Production Assistant and the SR Manager of Production. This position would require physical duties of performing counts of inventory stock and ensure all materials are stored properly and assist with disbursing materials/consumables. Additional duties may include maintaining tool room and providing quality control on power tools and check in/check out verifications.


    Essential Functions

    • Perform physical count of inventory at the facility
      • Ensure inventory is stored properly for inventory type (ex: sensitive electronics are temperature controlled)
      • Ensure physical counts are recorded; reconcile inaccurate information
    • Assist in developing shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures
      • Audit yard to ensure adherence to shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures
    • Work with purchasing to consider fiscally responsible options for shipping current stock or purchasing new
    • Reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports
    • Assist with dispersing materials/consumables to production area
    • Maintaining tool room:
      • Quality control check on power tools
      • Tool check in and out
    • Assign assets as needed
    • Manage asset reservations
    • Create reports as necessary
    • Other duties as assigned

    Skills and Specifications

    • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
    • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
    • Basic computer skills
    • Knowledge of warehouse/inventory management principles and best practices
    • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
    • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills
    • Good research skills, highly organized, and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to speak, read, and write English
    • Ability to drive company vehicles.

    Required Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
    • Associate degree, preferred.
    • 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehousing, required.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb, and stand. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. may occur.


    Expected Hours of Work

    The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.


    Work Environment

    This job operates in a warehouse and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.


    Travel

    This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours’ notice.


    Work Authorization

    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
    • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
