Production Control's primary responsibility is to ensure that customer orders and program stock are produced timely and efficiently, in strict adherence to the highest quality standards, while optimizing inventory utilization, and consistently improving on-time delivery performance.
Essential Functions:
· Generate/monitor work orders based on sales order due dates, in accordance with production lead-times and capacity.
· Generate/monitor production orders and schedule the Slitter unit for efficient production runs
· Apply inventory to orders in a manner that limits additional remnant inventory, utilizes aging inventory, and maximizes inventory turns
· Works cooperatively with Supply Chain to achieve the collective goals of attaining 90% on-time delivery performance, managing the board-directives for inventory levels, and meeting or exceeding customer and industry-mandated quality product.
· Works cooperatively with the Production team to understand and communicate plant goals and objectives, acting as a liaison between the production floor and the sales desk.
Required Education & Experience:
· Must be comfortable learning legacy terminal systems
· Demonstrates an aptitude for data analysis with a high proficiency in Excel and Access preferred
· Requires collaborative and team-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
· Ability to operate in the complex, matrixed environment.
