Production Control Clerk jobs in Suffolk, VA

The Production Control Clerk compiles and records production data for industrial establishment to prepare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of raw material, quality control, and other aspects of production by performing the following duties at Ft. Eustis, VA.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Compiles and records production data from such documents as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
• Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
• Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed. Maintains files of documents used and prepared.
• Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities. Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies
• Charts production, based on statistics compiled, for reference by production and management personnel. Sorts and distributes work tickets or material to workers.

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and more than 2 years of related experience.
• Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Facility clearance including official background checks is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively communicate in English, via telephone or face to face with technicians and admin staff.
• Familiarity with the use of copiers, scanner, fax machine, computer, calculator.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
