Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Manufacturing Production Planning & Control work focuses on managing production to optimize the use of resources and meet production schedules and standards including:
• Planning and controlling production schedules and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials
• Estimating and scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process
• Researching, evaluating, and recommending changes to production processes, systems, technology, or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
Must be able to work in production environment conditions including heat and humidity during summer months
Must be able to work continuous ops schedule (12-hour shift with rotating schedule)
Currently this is a 3 AM - 3 PM shift, 10% premium will apply to salary
